Learning to Survive is such a different thing than learning how to Thrive. This may be a difference notably within the beings raised by their own Bondsmen and Women.
OSS/CIA/NSA parents teach theirs how to Survive. Civilian parents teach their children how to Thrive within the given, present environment.
These are two very different things.
