Never Destroyed

Root another worldly pondering,

deathly wandering

cast in the shadow of night

her light reveals my fright.

A goddess peers at her reflection

feeling condescension;

voices chatter all around,

strangers I found;

staring at a matchstick,

a glowing candle wick.

Petite, smoldering,

flickering on older wings

disguised by a smile,

uncertainty waits all the while.

Where is the unapologetic self

I saw on a shelf,

in a house burned down;

rain clouds

burst after the shame,

enabling little flames

Searching…

Where is the self I saw on a shelf?

Wasting away in the Polar Region.

Absent.

Definition by contradiction,

theories morph before the season;

flowers freeze with rapid reason.

The warm sun’s embrace

scorches this bliss-filled place.

Just like that,

Language describes

The Indescribable.

Earthly scribes shovel

damaged dirt,

releasing Hurt.

In Arabic, Ayesha means Life--I am Woman--of Poetry, Poetic Prose, Photography, and the Creation of All of My Dreams, all of which end in Artistry. I have often been referred to as Enigmatic and Magnetic, but also Selfless ("to a fault"). Some call me an "m-path" because I am highly compassionate. I sincerely hope that you enjoy all that I have to offer. Thank you for taking the time to Read Me. I am Proud. I am Ayesha. With Love, Ayesha R. Gill عايشة رامازاً جل
