Share a hobby you’ve picked up recently — what got you into it?
I swim for miles and miles and miles. The high I get from swimming is what got me into it.
Tenure
If the salary was the same, what job would you be doing right now and why?
I would be a tenured, college professor of English and Arabic Language and Literature. I have taught college courses before and they were the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Doppelgänger
What’s a book you never finished but still think about?
Crime & Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. The concept of ‘The Doppelgänger’ in that novel is absolutely fascinating. Raskolnikov and Svidersky.
